I swear a couple of months back I was in google looking for magazines that dealt with film/traditional photography and I came across a thread on APUG, but I can't seem to find it. It had a lot of replies and there was one online magazine in particular that I have forgotten the name of that I was trying to find.

Thanks in advance,
Logan

They are no more!
Photo Techniques, B&W (British), & View Camera all offer some articles but not much.
B&W(American), & Lenswork Both offer portfolios but where they were both initially based on analog processes but now don't separate them.

Bah, Humbug!

I'm afraid John's right. There are, however, some very good journals that feature the art of photography (traditional) and related media culture. In addition to the ones mentioned above, also available are: Silvershotz, Blind Spot, Aperture, and Afterimage, among others.

Well that's a bummer. What were the names of some of the no longer in print magazines that were good? Maybe I'll look for them on ebay. I'm trying to build my knowledge base before I head off to Corcoran in the fall... I am for the most part self taught and a lot of things kind of just go over my head  and I feel like I owe it to myself to try to geta better grip on everything.

Thanks so much,
Logan

View Camera can have some good articles in it. I will occasionally pick it up. I remember when B&W began accepting digital images in their submissions. Boo Hiss, but if it keeps people buyin the magazine, ya gotta do what ya can.

Maybe you will get lucky and you'll run into someone who would like to get rid of his Camera & Darkroom magazines.
