Hello everyone and apologies if I've started this thread in the wrong place.
Excuse the shameless plug but I started a community interview series earlier this year aimed at bringing the film photography industry closer to the community. It seems to have had some effect and I have been lucky enough to nab Billingham (those lovely bag makers in England), as my last feature of 2016.
I'm collecting questions from the community until midnight on Friday 16th December 2016, at which time they'll be reviewed by a small panel and sent off to Billingham for review/response. We are aiming to have results ready to publish in early 2017.
Here's the link to find out more and post your own question: http://emulsive.org/articles/commun...ham-community-interview-submit-your-questions
Billingham are one of those "when you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all", companies. As such, they may not be considered as interesting to some as say, Kodak, ILFORD and Fuji, but they've been hand making bags for over 40 years now and must be doing something right.
Nothing is off the table with the exception of financial data and trade secrets (naturally). Just head on over to the link above and leave your question in the comments. I'll take care of the rest.
Thanks for reading,
~ EM
