Well, you'll need the rest of the fluid mount supplies: mylar, and tape that doesn't melt when it touches the fluid. And skill, if you've never done fluid mounting before. Plus, you need to spend as much as an afternoon adjusting the height of the betterscanning to get the film in the perfect plane. It is not a process you want to rush.
Unless you have a bunch of scratches to fill, I'm not sure you'll see much if any gain by wet mounting versus dry mounting with the v700. At least I have not been able to see a difference.
I have used lighter fluid. It evaporates very fast. It might leave a little residue too, depending on the source. But frankly, I've been happy with dry mounting with the betterscanning wet/dry mount, even with 120.
