Aren’t all the declassified DoD photos public domain?

Many of mine were classified, last I told until 2028, those that were not classified were likely destroyed, some of historic value were kept may have been kept, not that I can think of any I took that would be thought of as of historical importance. And I don't know if my name is still attached, the AF photos I have seen from the 70s do not include a byline for photographers. Photos from WWII seem to be mixed bag, sometimes a name is attached other times not.
 
They always look best in the print washer after you get dodge/burns and the split toning just right.
