Hi all,

I'm looking for a print washer, 11x14 or 16x20.
In your opinion, what is the best model, Zone VI, Versalab, Calumet ... ?

thanks for your feedback.

I have two washers. Both are Zone VI, 11x14 and 20x24. If I was doing high volume printing, I would use them. I'm not, so the most effective and best way is using a tray and the soak and dump method. If you only make a few prints, don't waste your money. Just my opinion.

The so-called 'archival 'washers are really just a convenience because, you can wash multiple prints unattended. I use a Versalab washer and it is very good.I'm sure other work just as well but don't fall for claims about gravity washing because fixer-laden water supposedly being heavier than clean water, which is nonsense; fixer-laden water and clean water mix very quickly.if archival washing is your concern, use the Ilford method to save water or wash in slowlyruning water for roughly 30 minutes.
