Am resuscitating an old 1982 Nikon FG. Will be using a small Olympus XZ-1 as a monochrome previewer.
What type of B/W film would you recommend for hi-res scans? At my end, I want the most detail and dynamic range I can get -- think Panatomic-X in the old days. As little grain as possible, so as to have the cleanest possible scan for digital processing.
Later, will take the scans into Photoshop -- and change the contrast etc. on the PC.

Any B/W 35mm film recommendations?

Good morning, Jon.

Yes, many rolls of EKCo FX-135 Panatomic-X dunked in Microdol-X. EKCo dropped that one also. When they dropped TP-135 Technical Pan, I gave up and started looking at other things. I have migrated to ADOX CMS-20 with their proprietary developer for my lens testing.

Enjoy; Ralph, Latte Land, Washington
