Best finder/prism for Mamiya m645 1000s

I am currently building a Mamiya M645 1000s and would like to know what would be the best Prism finder for this camera. Should I go for AE or PDS or what? Should I go for a standard eye level prism and use a meter or go with a metered prism? I would like ease of use, reliability and would prefer not to use a hand held meter.

I use a 645 1000s and a m645 for backup, I use the PD(s) finder for both and find it realy quick, prob cause it's not that diff from my FM. Stay away from the cds finder.

I've been using the cds finder with no problems. What do you see as the disadvantages of it?

having to take the reading and then transfer it to the camera, also though I never had any problems with accuracy, it has a reputation of being off.

I used a waist level on mine for years and loved it. Still do because I have glasses. I recently bought a Pd finder and found that it is heavy. The meter is nice, but it is heavy. I will probably look for a smaller meter to use with it. I do like the eye lever finder because verticals are easier than with a waist level finder though. Get both and see. One a tripod it would be the waist level finder for sure. Hand held it will be the eye level finder and the side grip.

Ahh. I have just experienced this problem first hand, in a moment when eye, hand and brain were not connected. I was taking some family photos outdoors, using the cds meter. Lighting called for 1/125th @f16, but I forgot to set the shutter speed on the body of my Mamiya, which I now realize was set at 1/60th. The good news is that it was a bright snowy day, so developing for the shadows might still save the shots. I'll have to give how to do that some thought. Any advice?

Oops again. Of course I meant "develop for the highlights". :rolleyes:
