I have ditched ePray totally and for the last number of years have bought most of my used gear either here or from KEH. I love KEH but they don't seem to have what I am currently looking for.

Who have you dealt with that you would recommend?

Eric

I have always had good luck buying used from B&H.

Roberts camera is good. I have bought several things from them, one item wasn't what I expected and they had no issues refunding my money/accepting a return.

I try to deal here or on the Large Format Photography Forum when I can. I'm sure I'll be going against the grain here, but I've had only positive experiences on eBay. I bought a few things from igorcamera.com and B&H is certainly good. KEH used to be my "go to" but, nowadays, I'm finding that they don't seem to be handling as much equipment as they used to; or, perhaps, there just isn't as much available anymore?

Igor, B&H, KEH. Also APUG classifieds. For the most part, only from eBay for items with no moving parts. I did have good luck buying from Roberts through eBay.

for classic manual Nikons , I go to Nikon Classics in Berlin,Germany.

Ebay (some from Roberts) and Goodwill mostly. I've had great and bad deals from both so I guess it evens out.

i sometimes go to eBoink, don't typically have too much trouble. i've found stuff i've looked for for 15 years on etsy believe it or not, peeps there are nice!
classifides here have treated me well for 10 years and counting, haven't bought from keh or igor's in years, but they never let me down neither has pacific rim camera.

I've had several good experiences with Igor Camera. Huge Inventory and he has a lot of gear that KEH doesn't tend to carry, like LF gear, vintage lenses, etc.
His prices also seem to run a bit lower than KEH. Good communication as well, he's responded quickly to emails I sent asking about the condition of specific items.

I have been very impressed with Adorama, though I've never bought film gear from them. Their prices aren't going to blow you away, though.

Another vote for Roberts Camera. I have purchased more than a dozen items from them and have never been disappointed.

B&H for one. There's a local joint called Dodd that I find stuff, ebay and APUG.

Truth is the best stuff I've got is from APUG. People take genuine good care of their cameras I've found. If I'm looking for something in particular I'll check to see if any APUGers have it first before looking somewhere else.

I only buy local.
That means: rummage boxes at camera stores (sometimes the better stuff from the shelves), fleamarkets, thrift stores

Never used KEH as I am too far.

I have used FFordes a couple of times here in UK, but I mostly use eBay from European sellers and never had any issue.

Ebay never let me down...sellers from Japan have stellar equipment if you see the reviews

So it doesn't sound like we have a lot of options for used gear. I'm looking for an EX condition Panasonic GH5 body.
Try Kerrisdale Cameras in BC - mostly Vancouver - they stock and sell a fair amount of M 4/3 stuff, have a fair amount of used inventory, and even use Craigslist to draw attention to some of that inventory.
If you see something listed with them that you need a pair of eyes to look at, I can get to most of their stores.

Their prices are identical to all the other Canadian photo retail outlets for new gear. The distributors mandate pricing which to me seems it should be against the law. I will see if they have any used stuff.

I've bought from Japan on ebay multiple times and have been happy, but some of their ex++++++++++++++++++++++++++@@@&*++ condition descriptions can be a bit on the "optimistic" side. I paid a pretty penny for a ga645 that was VG but when I opened it up the light seals were mostly rotted off. Minor problem I know, but for VG I expect to be able to shoot immediately. I'm still paying (and will for quite some time) paypal payments for my last camera equipment from japan...
