Beseler VI-CAT - What is it?

Does anyone know what a Beseler VI-CAT (Visual Imaging - Color Analyze and Transfer) does? I can't find any info about it on the Googles. Are these worth anything? Added a picture for visual reference.

That's a video color analyzer. I have never seen one. Back in the day Kodak used (and sold) incredibly expensive color video analyzers. A competent operator could determine color printing filtration for different types of lighting etc.
Today no one prints color, digital if you shoot raw, you can go back in time and adjust everything.

What sort of computer is required? Post a couple pages of the manual. That's a rare bird!

In general, video color analyzers display an inverted image of the negative on a CRT screen and, after calibration, allow transfer of values to the color head of the enlarger.

From an image on Fleabay, I see the rear of the unit has one video and one audio RCA style female connector. Unless there is another interface connector on the bottom of the unit, it is a self contained unit.

Maybe it outputs composite video and audio to be hooked up to a CRT style monitor?

Very interesting; never heard of this before...

Thanks for the replys! That makes sense about it being used to set the color filtration on a color head.
