Is there anyone using the Beseler variable contrast filters who can tell me what the contrast range is? I located an older set that I believe is incomplete that starts at grade 1 and ends at grade 4. I'd like to know if there should be anything higher or lower.

Thanks so much.

we have a set hanging around at the lab, i will double check tonight and get back to you. I believe it came with a grade 5, which is purple, not magenta. Starting at grade 1 is correct.

I'll check my set and get back to you. I use these occasionally. They ave a different "personallity" than Kodak or Ilford.

sorry , it took so long to get back to you.
the set ends in 4, however, the magenta is much darker than the newer grade 5's.
