Beseler - Omega adapter

HI all,

Does anyone know how this adapter works? It seems like it might allow the use of the Beseler negative carries on an Omega enlarger, or vise-versa, but it's difficult to say. Anyone have any direct experience, and perhaps know it's exact function, and what make/model enlargers it might work on? It's obviously an original Beseler product, but I can't find it in any Beseler product/price lists I have access to.

I feel like that might be for putting an omega head on a beseler enlarger.. or maybe the other way around...

Thanks for the help! I received some additional info and more pics. Dmosher nailed it, I think - Omega head on a Beseler 45 series Enlarger. Here are some more pics with dimensions:

I can't use it, as it seems to have been made for a 45 and I have a 23cii. Someone is selling it on Ebay.
