Beseler digital colorhead-display problem

The head's display comes on intermittently. For example, on any given tuesday I fire it up and all displays light up and everything works fine. The next week I fire it up and some or none of the display is working, at random. Does anyone know of a fix?

Perhaps a bad connection in a plug-in ribbon connector from the display to the main board?
