Can I put a Beseler color head on my MXII? Would I want to? I don't need it because I use my Omega for color, but someone offered me a color Beseler 4x5 enlarger. I don't really want another entire enlarger but if I could talk them out of just the head, and if it would be practical, I would do that.

Good Evening, Wayne,

Assuming that space is not extremely limited, why not take the entire enlarger. It might come in handy for spare parts. Removing the head leaves you with the basis for a very strong and handy copy stand.

Yes you can. I have Beseler 45MX and use a Dichro 45S color head. Great for MG paper.

I don't want the entire enlarger because I already have an Omega that I use for color, and an MXII that just sits there not getting used at all (since I got the Chromega). While I don't need the chassis the color head would be hard to pass up. Then I would only have an extra head laying around that I don't need, instead of an entire beast of a Beseler.

Oh it started long ago...
