Have been looking for a 45MXt is it.?
Not the one with the "computer".
Nothing in my local Craigslist for the last 10-12 months.
There are a few on Ebay in the 700-1200 range.
I can get the 45 S head for bout 250 bux shipped to my house. It seems like 250 is a decent price for a functioning head...but then I would have to piece together the rest of it.
For those of you That DO own one...what is "the best" way to buy one of these things.
They are available new for something like 3-4 thousand.

BTW...does this blue chassis fit all of the #45 Heads, like the 45S.?

There's a 45MCRX on Craigslist in Hayward CA now (if it hasn't already gone). $100 + gas and the bridge toll. And another in Santa Rosa for $300. Maybe 120 mile round trip.

You can put a 45s head on any of the Beseler 45 chassis. Detach the condenser head, remove the upper bellows scale, and clamp on the 45s. You need power for the fan, and switched power for the lamp.

One of mine (the old model with front bracing struts) was given to me, and the second, later model I found in Oakland a few years ago. The 45s heads were from Craigslist/LF Forum. It's doable, you just have to move quickly.

I got mine, pretty much mint condition, with two big boxes of stuff (lenses, carriers, trays, bottles, etc.) for $150 on Craig's List. It was such a steal I threw caution to the wind and Paypaled the guy the money and then drove to Tucson from Phoenix the day after Thanksgiving to pick it up. It works perfectly. Just keep looking...
