Beseler 45MX negative carriers

Hello,

I just brought an old darkroom setup, and on of the enlargers was a Beseler 45MX which had 1 x 35mm negative carrier.
I was hoping to develop some medium format, and having done a search, it seems that the Beseler 23C carriers are fairly common.
I was just wondering if these are compatible with the 45MX?

Any help appreciated.

23C Carriers are not compatible with the 45MX, which has a much larger opening. 45MX carriers can still be purchased new from Beseler.

Look on the auction sites, ebay, craigslist etc. You can probably find carriers for medium format cheaper than buying new.
