Can someone tell me what the differences are between these two models? I know the MXT comes later and I am mostly interested in the condenser light source set-up.
I believe the "T" in the MXT is for "Turret," i.e., the three-lens turret that allows switching lenses quickly. Earlier models didn't have enough clearance to allow for this. Otherwise, I believe the chassis and the light sources are the same.

I think it means "turret-friendly", not"turret included"?
My understanding is: MX - tapered bellows, too small for a turret at the lens end. MXT - big square bellows, lens stage attaches with three spring-loaded thumbscrews - you can add foam or mousepad material there and have a "besalign" adjustable board in a minute, and I believe the MXT has more alignment friendliness, and (possibly) dropped they horizontal option?
(Some people upgraded their tapered bellows to square, Beseler sold that separately - so an enlarger with horizontal and square bellows was updated? I may be wrong about that, it's from various internet threads).
