My motor "works" .....but before i set this all up and try to align it, is there anything i should do with the motor or gears.?
Should i pull the motor out of the box to Clean/Lube anything.? Do you guys ever disassemble yours.?
Should i oil the tracks on each side of the frame that the motor gears ride in.?
Just wondering, on these now old machines, if i should Check/Fix/Lube anything before i set this in place.?
I do have the manual, but other than mentioning some light oil/6 Months, it does not really say much about "maintenance".
Thank You

I'd just rely on the manual. Aren't the gears nylon or similar?
Grease is just going to hold dust.

I did not actually look at the wheels, but yes, the teeth on the tracks are Plastic/Nylon/Mylar...whatever it is. I assume the round gears are as well.
So then the next step, i guess, is to get some bracing from the top of the frame to the wall, and then learn how to align this thing.

Interesting. The tracks (including teeth) are metal on mine.

For bracing, I used 1/2" round electrical conduit (the metal type). I flattened each end with a small sledge hammer; in one direction for the end mounted to the top of the Bes 45 and the other direction for the end mounted to the wall. Used 2 per enlarger, angled about 30 deg to the wall.

I've had one for over 30 years and I've never maintained it.

They ARE metal, i am looking at another piece of gear, my mostake.
For your bracing, did you use existing holes in the top of your frame.?
Thanks
