Beseler 45 color head and D.A.T.A. module

I'm thinking about buying a color head to replace my Beseler/Minolta 45a strobe light color head. Does anyone want to talk me out of (or into) the computerized color head and D.A.T.A. module? Does anyone have the manual for the data module as the seller can't seem to find it.

I sold that head years ago to get a plain 45S. No regrets. So much less to go wrong and works with any timer.

I had the 45 computerized head but no DATA module. I used it for a while then it's dead. I bought a CB-7 with dichroic head and use a Minolta old color analyzer to do the same fucntions as the computerized head.

I have a dead DATA module also, get the plain 45S.

Honestly, I think the 45A is better than any of the other color heads. you can get a whole replacement one with tubes on ebay for ~$200-ish, and they are not hard to clean and service. I have the service manuals and all the other instructions/etc. on line if someone needs them. The other beseler 45 color heads all seem much more problematic to me, not to mention not nearly as full functioned or elegant in their operation.

Thank you everyone. I'll stay away from the over-complicated 45 / D.A.T.A.; perhaps just look for a 45S. The problem I have with the 45A is focusing, the grain in dense negatives is impossible to see under the strobe light.

Be advised that the older 45s heads have a issue with an opto coupler that can cause random delays with the lamp lighting. It's easy to fix if you have the Vactrol opto-isolator to replace the defective part. The newest 45s heads have been redesigned, no trouble.

Hello everyone, recently I bought a Beseler Dichro head with the DATA modules. It's like this, I already found a manual for the Dichro head, unfortunately not for the DATA module so far. Maybe there's someone here who could help me either get a manual (as a PDF or so), or someone who could explain to me how the device works. Thank you so much in advance.
