For what it's worth: I contacted a guy from Craigslist advertising a 45mx. It had been listed at $60 for a month. I thought I could use it for parts for the one I'm currently using (I wanted the horizontal brace arm and a filter holder). The guy said he was loading a moving van that day and to pick it up free. No lenses or boards, (no horizontal arm or filter holder, either) but way newer than the one in use.
If you can, be patient. There are lots of under used and abandoned enlargers out there. Look in retirement communities, an excellent resource for better than average, low milage gear.
