1.) The knob is missing from the sliding red filter assembly that was used on most earlier Beseler 23C enlargers. The screw that the knob screws onto is present, but not the metal knob. Anyone have one off a junker?
2.) I am parting out an early (gray) Beseler 23C that is missing the condensers (and the same knob) Otherwise fairly complete. If you need 23C parts, contact me by private message. No negative carriers. Tacoma, WA vicinity.

Hey, I had the same issue with my 45MXII. I just went to my local Lowes and got one of these and added a small nut to put on first to give it a little length. It isn't the prettiest application but it solves the issue. Here is a link below to find it on the website. They keep them in the hardware aisle in the drawers that contain odds and ends.
UPDATE
I bought one of these, and I think it will work, but it looks like I'm going to have to file the "bottom" flange to a smaller diameter. Without filing, it won't drop into the "slot" it's meant to slide in, and there aren't enough threads protruding below the slot so that the knob will catch them. Shouldn't be a big job.

Contacted Beseler. They don't list this part, though they do list the later "swing" type filter holder. I got no response from Beseler. If your enlarger has this part and are using your enlarger, they are so commonly missing that you might want to use some thread locker or a drop of clear fingernail polish on the threads.
That would make a good looking replacement,. but apparently they have a 30 count minimum purchase.
NOTE: For anyone missing this part, the most workable fix suggested comes from Ken Prater. As Ken said, the knurled brass knob is available from Lowe's Hardware, and you get two for a dollar and change. They screw right on and you're done. It's not OEM, but it works fine and looks OK.. And you can paint it black if you want. . Thanks, everyone!
Electronic circuit board stand offs with those threads are readily available in aluminum and brass for relatively low cost as well, though I'd prefer a plastic material (for corrosion resistance).
