Beseler 23c VC head-bent mounting bracket

I have a Beseler 23c VC head with a bent mounting bracket. I’m wondering if anyone has experience taking these apart. My plan is to replace the bracket with a new one from Beseler (if they have one to sell). I’m wondering if there is anything to worry about in taking it apart. From the parts diagrams I can find it looks pretty simple. Or, maybe I should just try and buy a new one. Any advice would be appreciated.
