Hello, I just got a Beseler 23C III not too long ago. I plugged it in and it turned on just fine. Now I’ve plugged it in and the light hasn’t come on. I replaced the bulb, and the light still won’t come on. I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong with it or there was another part that I need that burnt out

Is there a timer between the wall plug and the lamp? If there is, unplug the enlarger from it and plug the enlarger directly into a wall socket.

If the light works, the problem is with the timer.

If the light doesn't work, get a simple (cheap) volt meter and start checking the bulb and the wiring.

Did you check the line switch on the enlarger? Did you plug into a timer and put it on focus mode? Does the circuit you plugged into operate from a wall switch?

The line switch could be the culprit.
With age, the brass contacts can develop a waxy green goo which you can clean off by disassembling the switch.
Same story for the switch on the power supply if applicable.

So I figured it out, it was the bulb that needed replacing, but the first time I turned on the enlarger the light came on because it didn’t have a timer attached, than the light burned out, and than I replaced the bulb and forgot I had it connected to the timer so it wasn’t turning on lol! Thanks for your help! I got a lot of learning to do :D
