Okay so I managed to get a Beseler 23C II today however I probably won't receive it until next week sometime. I believe right now it is set up for 35mm which I will shoot very little of. I really need it for 6X6 negs. So do I just need to get the negative carrier, 75mm or 80mm lens? Possibly new lens board?
Should this enlarger do the trick for 6X6?
Thanks
Get an 80 mm lens that fits the lens board for 35 mm. Not hard. Get a 6x6 carriage. Adjust head to the 6x6 mark on the condenser column. You're in business.
This is the enlarger that is used where I teach. Good machine.
This is a great enlarger. If it has the Dichro Colorhead then you are in business for black and white. If it does not then you have to get filters in order to use VC B&W paper to its fullest. You can still get some graded paper but it is not as easy as VC. Have fun. I certainly do with my 23C.
Just got mine a month ago and I'm a alot better artist because of it. Just love the prints I get with it. Only problem I have with it is that I cannot survive with just 35 mm format.
