brass lens from the French maker Berthiot, established in Paris in 1857

from about 1923 according its serial number

symmetrical optical design (6 elements, 2 groups), it is a convertible lens, you can unscrew the frontal element, get a double focal length and increasing coverage

16 blade-iris, they form a very round aperture

reasonably good condition for its age, it keeps most of its original lacquer, nice “patina”
glasses: clean and clear, very small some spots, nothing which will affect performance
there is no fungus, haze or separation
diaphragm ring moves smoothly
comes with lens flange
