I need help from my fellow APUGers. Twelve days starting 8-23. I've narrowed it down to strictly B+W. I want to make 5x7 proofs and then select for 11x14's as the final project. The difference between the "Old Towns" and the "New Towns" will be the view I hope to convey.
Here is the problem: what camera(s) and which lenses? Narrow streets and low light, maybe? Cafe' and outdoor markets. Museums and shops. People of all different ages and dress. Street shooting almost 100%.
My first choice is my Contax G1 with the 28, 45, and 90 and Ilford HP5+ film.
Does anyone have other suggestions? I have a ton (well, maybe a half-ton) of 35mm and medium format equipment at my disposal.
I've heard that Riga is really raucous at night. Any danger to me or my equipment? I was ripped off in Prague several years ago, so I may be overly cautious. Thanks in advance for your help.
