Hi there,

Over the last few months I've been buying up stuff needed for a home darkroom I'll hopefully set up this week, recently I bought the Berkey Omega Pro-Lab Timer on Ebay and have a quick question (yeah, I know, should of asked questions before I purchased).

The plug that goes into the wall is a UK plug, I know that, but the two input plugs on the device itself I'm not sure about...

I'm not a technically minded person when it comes to things like this, so excuse my ignorance, but it looks like a USA type B plug? My enlarger uses a EU type plug so would I be able to buy a converter and have it still working 100%?

Yes it is a US plug. Since the timer is rated 220V, all you should need is a couple of converters. Oh, and those are output plugs.

Thank you for your quick answer! Much appreciated. I was worried in case I wasted a bit of money there.

And yes! Silly me. Output not input. My mistake.

A rule in electricity is that you never have power voltage source on a male connector where the prongs/pins/blades are exposed. This is to avoid accidental shorting of the power and to avoid electrical shock. For power, if it is female, it gives power, and if it male it receives power.
