Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with strange spotting or uneven tonning using berg blue toner?
The prints were washed with plenty of time, and it was very inconsistent between all the different prints. Some were fine, others were terrible.
Any ideas?

they are bluish stains, they appeared straight out of the toner, and decreased with washing, but not nearly completely. it happened to maybe 20% of the images i put through the toner. is there a chance that using expired paper may have something to do with it?

Was this fiber paper? Did you soak it in water before the toner bath? Tim Rudman says in his toning book that staining can be a persistent problem with fiber paper, and says that toning only lightly may be the only way to prevent it. I've had some staining myself with RC paper and homemade blue toner, but it doesn't seem to be a big problem.
