I use that head with a 45F-2, it works just fine. The tripod mounting area on the base of the camera has a riser block that contains the female threads for the tripod screw, so the main camera baseplate ends up elevated above the knobs. You need to offset the QR plate in the mount (or on the body) a few mm to clear the big fast-adjust knob but it's not a big deal. It's a bit tight if you actaully want to use the fast-adjustment knob (the sawblade-shaped part), but operating with the normal outer (round) knob is just fine, lots of finger room. It's a nice head, I quite like it.
Same should be true for the N series, I'm not certain about the H series.
