Bennfoto for Kodak Medalist II CLA?

If one searches Google for past commentary on camera repair or CLA options, one can always find remarks that should be taken with a grain or pound of salt.

One person endorsed people in far-away places due to bad experiences with repairs from certain regions of the US, claiming cameras were returned after payment that obviously had no service performed. That is about as ambiguous and non-credible as I could ask for.

So, not finding anyone's smiles or frowns for Kodak Medalist II CLA services by Bennfoto (eBay username), I'll ask here.

Bald Mountain is gone so I'm considering Bennfoto.

Anyone else have comments on such services from that service provider?

I imagine one gets what one pays for, also. If one place charges less to CLA a complete camera, as long as it is fully functional, than another does for a shutter-only CLA (not a practical option for Medallist), the latter is probably spending more time, for good reason.

I will check with Dan Daniel but from his list of capabilities and services I don't expect him to be the low bidder ;@).

I have two, one almost converted to 120 feed (still 620 take-up), and a second unmodified. I'd like to CLA both, keep one & sell one. So 'basic' CLA makes more sense to me.

I did the 120-feed conversion myself based on a phone conversion years ago with Ken/Bald Mountain. He explained it wasn't magic...all hand tools, about 30 or 32 he acquired or made over the years as needed. He told me enough to understand how to proceed...not step-by-step, but how to figure out what was necessary. Mine works but still has a bit more friction than I like with 120 and definitely 220 film...which means more material needs to be removed.

Also have sheet film back & several film holders - to keep with 'mine', the converted one.

Probably more useful to look up the eBay user's actual presence.

Under that name, I found good comments in Reddit via Google. Reddit seems like a place people would be more likely to fly off the handle than not, so I'll take that as a general positive summary.

They describe everything they do.
