Wow, thank you to everyone for the enthusiastic reception! The Photomatics have been sold and are on their way Down Under. Many are from the 1930's so they represent a lot of vintage photo bang for the buck. There is nothing quite so elementally photographic as a good Photomatic!! There is at least one book on them and it would be well worth the investment.
