There’s “never-before-seen footage from inside a premier Japanese lens factory [Canon’s factory in Utsunomiya, Japan], intimate interviews with lens engineers, and a peek into the world of award-winning photographers and cinematographers…”

I dont relate japanese capitalism with their religion , it likes there were only two good designers in finland and they traded it as everyone in finland are so intelligent , so healthy and so good designers or artists. And they have the highest suicide rate in the world.

Japan have enough money to publish these propaganda videos and 50 years later china will have. They will trade martial arts , bruce lee and kung fu as the base of their success. We all know not related. And I believe canon makes the one of the worst lenses in history, look at the video trail and look at the pictures. What ever you do , you cant take these images and colors with even 5 dollar plastic leica

What am I trying to say and what is the proof. We all take color pictures and we all have idea how Leica render a color or how the venetian renaissance painters put the color. For Ektar , I belive it relates with Baroque painters and especially Gainsborough and his subdued color renditions. For Goerz , its so lively , may be relates to early Dutch Painters from 1460s. Fuji film relates the renaissance french painters .

But look at the video , there were three kids , only the haitians uses these colors , very primitive and not western or eastern but African , I dont feel myself related.

The images shown in the film are only as good as the film maker makes them look...depends on
a lot of things...resolution, file sizes and formats, were they old films that were poorly
processed or faded and who and how the images were captured and managed...

Personally, having used the full range of L-Series glass in Canon and Nikon's high end glass in
focal lengths up to 600 F4, I think Canon is fantastic. I honestly could not choose between Canon
or Nikon today...both produce top rate glass.

I don't think it's logical to compare Leica glass to Canon or Nikon. Each has it's own role. Leica do
not have lenses or bodies that can perform in the sports arena, but if we're talking street or documentary
photo work, I'd take the Leica M hands down...each has a role to play.
