Beatiful: Japan in the 1890's

I find it interesting that the infernal fence that they have in the bamboo grove in Arashiyama was there long ago too - I guess it bothers me less now that I know its been there for over 100 years. Still don't like it though.
 
I've not seen many landscape images from Japan - this makes me wonder why not, and grateful for Andrew's fine work.

What comes to mind, forcefully, is 'dignity' and 'enlightenment', both in subject matter and execution.

Pictorially, this ability to impart both aesthetics and utterly perfect composition seems to be inherent, not learned. - David Lyga
