I came across a couple retired Nikons from a press photographer local to me. These have been used hard, as any good camera should. I cleaned them up a bit and tried to remove the decades of field-dirt caked on the bodies. From what I can tell the F3 works (tested via the MD-4 drive) but the frame counter doesn't seem to reset and it absolutely needs new seals and possibly a new viewfinder (it's still clear, just a bit dusty and the eyepiece thread is dented and the blinds don't work). Good for spare parts or for cleaning up and using it up. I'm sure it'll keep on trucking with some basic care.

Also I have an equally used FE2 that also needs some love to bring it back to life. Like the F3 it was caked in dust and the seals are toast, but I put some fresh batteries in and all of the speeds seemed to work, though I am not certain the meter or Aperture Priority mode were working properly. It's a bit brassed, and dirty but has minimal denting overall. I noticed a wrinkle in the shutter blades though, and while it isn't the worst I've seen, I just wanted to make mention of it.

Both of these beasts have survived the test of time and photojournalism and deserve to either be donors for parts or restored and used until they fall apart. I have more cameras than I should, otherwise I would be keeping these and restoring them myself. The F3 is a personal favorite of mine.

Make me a reasonable offer if you're interested.

Ok so I've also got a couple beater lenses that may be of interest to you guys as well.

First up is a 105mm f/1.8 AI-S. It's been around the block and needs some work. The glass is actually in pretty decent shape but the cosmetics are pretty rough. The aperture blades look decent, the focus throw is a bit rough and the rubber grip has come loose. I presume it could be fixed up but I haven't gone about trying to have that done.

Next up is the 180mm f/2.8 *ED AI-S. Same general condition as the 105mm but the focus is a bit smoother also has the loose rubber grip and somewhat stiff aperture blades.

As with the cameras, make a fair offer if you're interested.

Both cameras have been sold, both lenses are still available.
I got a quote from a local shop whom I trust, but I am open to suggestions / offers.

Just let me know, keep in mind these are clearly project lenses

I guess I'll throw this out there, if you have any other Nikon lenses in the wider range that you'd trade, I'd consider that as well.
