I have a Leica iif that has a decent rangefinder, but I’m getting a CLA on it soon and if I can I’d like to replace the beamsplitter at the same time.

From what I understand it’s no longer possible to get replacement beamsplitter parts for Barnack Leicas, but you can get panels of half silvered mirrors that you can cut down to size yourself.

Does anyone know the specs (thickness and dimensions) of the panel I’d need to get / cut down? And a source? I found this on AliExpress which sounds like it should work.

Edmund Optics has beamsplitter plates with different reflection / transmission ratio. Of course, they have to be cut to fit the rangefinder.
