Battery for Yashica Lynx 14

I have this Yashica Lynx 14 for a while. I love it and have been using it as a meterless camera. I would like to try the meter and see if it still works. What kind of battery or batteries does it take?

There are replacement cells, I think, which drop the voltage of a silver oxide cell to the 1.35v furnished by a mercury cell. If the Lynx uses a bridge meter circuit the voltage doesn't matter, within limits of course. My old Praktica LTL is such, one aligns the meter needle with a fixed target. Wein cells are another possibility, but based on a zinc air cell their working life is short.

I have 1.35V cells in mine, and it requires me to set it to something like ISO6 to get somewhat reasonable meter results for ISO100 film.

And even then the meter isn't very accurate, i have my doubts about its linearity.

The manual said to use the RM640r and I need to find the alkaline equivalent. I don't worry about the higher voltage just want to test if the meter still work. I have the 625 batteries and they don't fit.

The Lynx 14 uses the old PX-13 mercury cell. The battery compartment is in the base plate. Wein makes a replacement cell for it.

The Lynx 14E uses the RM-640 (2), and loads in the back of the top plate. There are also silver replacement cells, or you can check to see if Wein makes an air cell for this model.

Neither model of the Lynx has a bridge circuit for using voltages different than 1.35v.
