I just shot my 3x4 Auto Graflex for the first time and am now wondering about additional lenses for it. My current lens is a 150mm B&L. As short as I can go is a squeeky tight 135mm, but the lens is inset and standard lens shutters are generally to large. Does anyone have any input on barrel lenses used on the 3x4 and 4x5 Graflex cameras

Nearly any lens in barrel from 150 to 200mm will do. You can go longer than 200mm but you'll lose infinity focus. If you're shooting close portraits, then it's a good idea, otherwise perhaps not.

There are a lot of older classic lenses to think about. I just sold a Heliar fitted to a 3x4 Super D lensboard -- that's one idea. Another is an older uncoated 7-inch Dagor -- they're easy to come by and affordable. Same goes for rapid rectilinear lenses, they are plentiful and inexpensive in this size.

I really like the 165mm f/3.5 Tessar as a barrel lens on the 3x4 graflex.
