Hi to all from Bangkok, Thailand. I'm a Brit but I've lived here for around 20 years now.

Been lurking here for years and decided that I would make an effort to reach out, join up and contribute something myself this year. Too much of a 'taking and not enough giving back' kind of thing, bad for the soul. This website is such a great resource to all film users and I feel very grateful for its existence. Much of what I can do now is as a result of having read technical information and the general experiences of many experts on this website.

Finally got my own website up and running after thinking about it for years. It features film work from this amazing city with galleries and a blog which I shall be adding to regularly. Nearly all black and white, shot mainly with Leica M's, Nikon SLR's and Rolleiflexes. All devving and scanning etc done by myself in-house so it's a slow workflow and has to be managed around work and family time. I'm sure many of you know how that goes! Might be worth a look if you've never seen any work from this part of the world. I love looking at member's shots from different countries and cities for the same reason. It's nice when we can all see a good mix of shooting locations from far away places. Website is in my signature. Go easy on me, I'm a sensitive soul.

Here's looking forward to a great year for all APUG members and their families!

Thanks,

Chroma

Hey Chroma!

I'm also in BKK - but from a lot farther south. Some nice work there; I'm hoping to get back into processing myself, just need to find the time to squeeze it in with work.

Look forward to seeing more of it.

Welcome to APUG Chroma, from a Canadian living in Japan. I really enjoyed the photos on your site.

Welcome to APUG. It sounds as if you have plenty of opportunity for local photography.

Hi Nanette,

Aussie I guess? Thanks for your warm reply and nice comments about the work. Actually, I had a look at your work also, nice stuff. Normally the shot taken from inside of a Southern-Thai long boat heading towards the beach with a Thai guy on the bow is a little too 'Lonely Planet' Thailand for my tastes but your take on it is really beautifully done and different looking.

Looking forward to being on this forum with you. Keep on devving, it only feels like a pain once you have stopped for a while. Even a roll every week or two is good for the soul.

Chazzy, Sirius Glass and The Flying camera, thanks to all of you for your kind welcome. I was told that APUG would be a friendly and helpful place, it certainly seems to be correct. Glad I joined up and looking forward to being on this great forum with you all.

Welcome to APUG, Chroma. I lived in Bangkok for a couple of years. I definitely miss it.

Hey ManicPixie, thanks for your kind welcome, looking forward to sharing the forum with you. I love Bangkok too, I would surely miss it if I ever left. Still, Switzerland is a nice place to be! Feel free to check out the galleries on my website or read my blog for a trip down Thai memory lane anytime. In the meantime if you ever wanna talk Thailand and photography, PM me here or email me through my site or make a thread if it's useful to others.
