Last Thursday we had a lot of wind here and perhaps a draft, or some movement in the house, made a framed photo fall off the wall. It fell onto the shelf below where it kept sliding down the wall while pushing everything on the shelf down onto the table below, including my Leica M3. The camera landed upside down, knocking the frame lines out of whack.

Today I was at the local Leica store to have it sent in for service (9 months before I get it back). When I got back into the car I accidentally dropped my backpack with the New Canon F-1 in it. It landed just wrong and cracked the top of the viewfinder, so now the mint F-1 ain’t so mint anymore. Fortunately it’s not too difficult to find a replacement for the viewfinder.

I hope I’ve used up all my bad luck for a while.

Sorry to hear of the bad luck this week. hopefully, it gets better from here.

That's why you should keep everything on the floor.

Go in the back yard with a bottle of your local, traditional liquor and offer a shot to the offended spirit that is shadowing your every step.

One for it and one for you.

When you regain consciousness, all will be forgiven and normalcy will return...

If you did not have bad luck, you would not have any luck at all. I hope things turn around for you very quickly, including camera repairs.

The thought has crossed my mind.
That’s not the worst idea I’ve heard!

Thank you! I appreciate any references to old blues songs

As I told my daughter many years ago, nothing ever goes without a hitch. She says that this is the best advice about life I ever gave her because she doesn’t get aggravated when things go wrong.
Take Kino’s advice. After offering a libation to the god responsible for mishaps with camera, and one for yourself, go back into house and make a nice cocktail while shopping for a new finder.
