this write up is as much for me as any one. I want to get straight what my issue was.
background
all my appications are on the C drive, the Q drive holds the work. Acronis backs up to
a NAS drive, Crash Plan backs up to a USB drive.
the 2Tb Q has been moved through about 4 generations of computers and finally failed
so I popped in a 6Tb. MBR format won't support greater than 2Tb so used GPT
Acronis: image won't load had to select and load files rather than the image took over 20 hours.
Crash Plan: not enough room on drive after loading files to Q Crash Plan was happy.
I only lost 1 image but still had the raws on my SD.
