does anyone know the backfocus distance for a schneider tele xenar 240mm? Actually I would also like to know the same for a tele xenar 180. If anyone has any recommendations for a lens of a telephoto design in this focal range I am all ears.

Thanks

Should be at www.schneideroptics.com. I think you need to find the link called "vintage lens data" under the "help" section.

Tele-Artons usually have a bigger image circle and will be sharper over a larger range, but Tele-Xenars are usually more compact. What format are you shooting?

Unfortunately the shortest tele-xenar listed on their site is the 360mm f5.5 (luckily for me that's the one I have  )
