back log of film

does anyone have a back log of film to process ?
im afraid to count how many rolls i have .. i didn't
completely run out of processing last fall and
continued to shoot, so some of it
might be almost a year old...
should be fun digging through the time capsule !
i love discovering a roll that is like a couple of years old
helps me see what i did rong or wright with better eyes

I am 1 roll of 120 behind. My preferred pace is to shoot one frame of 4x5, then process it. I did a project on 120, then put a couple of rolls of 35mm through a new camera, so I got backed up a little.

Postprocessing for me is the slowest step in the chain.

I couldn't believe it...

I looked around and I saw only two sheets of 8x10, four sheets of 4x5 and one roll of 35mm waiting for development.

Then I remembered the box full of color film I haven't gotten around to yet.

Sigh...for a moment there I thought I was caught up.

But I am closer to caught up with my developing than I am with my printing. I was going to do some of that this winter when the winter was bad. So much for that idea.

Yup, I'm caught up on processing. Printing, not so much. As I discussed with my wife (as I purchased an RB 67): My intention is to shoot all summer and fall then process/print all winter. Two years in, I'm hoping to start.

Two rolls of 120 and 1 roll of 35 from recent time here in UK. I have another another 6-7 35mm rolls from late 2016- early 2017 (in the freeze), but I forgot to bring them with me. Won't seeing them for another 6 months.

I'm caught up on roll film, but have a few sheets of color 4x5 from last summer to send out and a few sheets of B&W 4x5 waiting for another holder or two to round out a batch. For me, I'm not too behind (yay me!) But unfortunately, I think it's because I haven't been shooting enough.

I'm actually fairly well caught up on film developing with maybe 8 or 9 rolls in the queue. Printing on the other hand... Electrician coming in the next week or two, so one step closer to getting a darkroom up and running again.

I have about thirty rolls of 120 to develop from my trips to Europe in Feb/Mar, but the reason I fell behind is that I ran out of my preferred developer and I’m waiting for it to arrive in Japan. That said, it’s not too unusual for me to fall behind after big trips, it can sometimes take months to get everything done. I did find a stray roll or two of Rollie Retro 400s from last year, unfortunately the images are barely there - don’t know if it’s because the film doesn’t keep the latent images so well, or if it’s because I screwed up my processing.

I manage to process ,I'm years behind on printing. I'm getting out and shoot film thus summer. Next winter it's going to be make prints and contact everything I've ever shot.

I'm guessing - and only guessing - but I'm estimating something in the order of 300 to 400 rolls of 35mm and 120 film (PanF+, FP4+, Tri-X and HP5+) that have yet to have been contact printed...or even looked at at more than in passing. And I just keep on shooting. Now come next winter, maybe as soon as late October...

Me too! I have over ten years of images, most of which have never been printed (all rolls have been made into contact sheets though). This year is the year for printing, although the issue is that I really don't have much free time until the holidays, and when I do have holidays, I rarely spend them in Japan (especially during the heat and humidity of the summer). But I really want to start printing, as least basic work prints of any and all interesting images so I can work on them for proper printing at a future date.

Only a roll of 120, it's c-41 my chems are dead, never got around to buy more, due to unemployment for the second half of 2017.
Will get around to that, once I have shoot a few more rolls of c-41, so that I can utilize the chemicals better than toss stuff that are too old and useless.

Over 55 rolls of C41. Still have not found a lab that does decent work for C41. Every one I have tried gives me back negatives that are severely scratched. I dont know why I even shoot color anymore. I havent had any developed in over a year, yet I shot 15 rolls in Japan last month. Pretty stupid of me.

I very rarely get behind with film processing, I normally process the film's the same day, or next day at latest, printing is another matter, way way behind

blue moon, darkroom.com and northeast photographic are all photrio sponsors/ advertisers
and from all reports do terrific work. praus in new york also does fantastic work as well, ... he's not an advertiser here..

I am and will, roughly 180 days/6 months since I last gad anything processed
Will shoot some B&W and leave it to process towards late this year after I get to move, color will be done about next week so I still have scanner at home

I tend to keep up on film developing - I have one roll of 120 and a couple of sheets of 4x5 that are waiting to be developed. I'm about ha;lf way through exposing a roll of 35mm...so, maybe I'll stir up a batch of D-76 or D-23 when that is finished and process the lot of it.

However, I am easily three or four years behind on printing...It used to be that setting up the darkroom was a major undertaking...I had stuff stored all over the house and set up occasionally in the hall bathroom...but now, I have my own place and can leave the darkroom setup...so I have no excuse any more.

I might get a back log of film to develop when I come back from a trip. Sometimes I am a little slow developing film and wait for several roll to be exposed before I start developing.

Making prints is another matter, it might take me quite a while to start up the darkroom, but once I start I work every day until the back log is gone.

I have a box of c41 35mm film with about 50 rolls in it, exposed up to 5 years ago. I'd like to get them developed at some point, because I know there's some snapshots on there that I'd like to have. I've had other priorities for my money, and that will probably continue to be the case in the near future. I just to enjoy snapping some photos with my Olympus XA and taking them to Walgreens or Walmart and getting back a strip of processed film. Those days are gone, and so is my desire to fool with the "miniature" format. Maybe I can find somewhere cheap, like $2 a roll, to do the job for me.

I second Edgar Praus, the website is 4photolab.com, He's local for me and that's where I take my color film.

Usually, after a long trip, I have a backlog of film to process. After I process the film and put them into sleeves, I have to organize them. I don't do tradition proofsheets anymore but I'm working on digital proofs where I could metatag them so I could search for images. I'm so behind
