I've been wanting to try S100 for some time.
Do you know of a good source?
It seems it renders reds somewhat crimson/maroon though.
Everyone should have a friend in Tokyo.Well, unfortunately I don't know of a current official source for easy international shipping. If I need film from Japan, I contact a friend in Tokyo.
Best regards,
Henning
Prices of used film cameras are generally increasing for some years now because of the film revival = higher demand for film cameras. And that is indeed a good development.
Only 25€ for such a good camera like the OM-1n was a very bad sign, as the market demonstrates by such low prices that the camera is considered having a very low value.
Meanwhile fortunately such nice cameras got much more of the appreciation on the used market that they really deserve.
Best regards,
Henning
On the other hand side a good digital (full-frame) cameras have became pricey enough that it almost became a dream to own one.
Oh man, let's just kidding you a little.Good timing to run into this thread after discussing with a photo friend about Lomo F2, which was old Ferrania 400 color neg. The last note was wondering about when Ferrania would be able to release some color product given all the accumulated difficulties.
The Orwo news I saw online, and it would be interesting that the Inoviscoad/FIlmoted (?) product to be re-released under an Orwo brand, even if the rest is avaialble as Lomography at a very marked up price. As a comment to the appreciation of cameras, I am even trying to find a cheap, as in very cheap decent m42 standard lens (Helios 44, Takumars) and so far haven't been lucky at the giveaway prices one would have gotten them years ago.
I know one of the projects that has had difficulties is Adox Polywarmtone, finally released as an emulsion but not as a coated paper. I am looking forward to the finished product when it is possible, and its gorgeous qualitites.
So previously they have not been making the film "in house", whatever that means?
the Kickstarter backers were supposed to be receiving a credit in the web store over time, for the amount of the Pledge.. It will likely be a while before the colour film is readdy to be produced. (the materials for what was suposed to be the initial batch of color film were ruined when asbestos was discovered in the building.) of course the COVID situation has thrown everything back at least a year.I still have yet to receive my reward of one of the first 500 numbered rolls. At this point I'm assuming it's gone out the window since more than 500 have been produced I'm sure. To add insult to injury, after following instructions and creating an account on their website, I have yet to see any kind of credit applied.

They sent the “mini jumbo rolls” for a partner that would slit, perforate, “sign” (expose film name and frame numbers), load into 135-type cassetes and pack these. They never revealed who that partner is, buttheythe partnerwerewas cited as a bottleneck in the production process.
Flavio, their confectioning partner themself was quite frankly and explained at the last two Photokina fairs that they are doing it for them
I have just, casually, followed their progress here.Any more updates from the ferrania folks?
I am in the usa. They might have much bigger Exposure/Advertising in Italy and Europe.
Look at www.filmferrania.com.Any more updates from the ferrania folks?
What ?!but let's be honest it's (still) a North American centered film revival/renaissance/death watch.
Regarding the film revival only being in the USA.....I have no clue why someone would think this. really. People in many parts of the world have posted that they're seeing tangible increases in film usage...from ordinary consumers to photo retailers and a respected industry expert. It is by now well known that Kodak and Fuji cannot keep up with demand for colour negative or reversal film, and have been struggling to do so for about three years. The plague has only made matters worse in that regard as it is also well known that various restrictions and lockdowns did not result in any slow down in film sales. Ilford and Foma in the B&W world seem to manage OK with demand as it is rising slower than for colour. The effects are seen worldwide, not only in observing people buying film but in sales figures.
It does appear they are still producing P30 film, im sure their income stream is thin and they are doing things slowly as funds allow.I have just, casually, followed their progress here.
I get the feeling they are walking a financial tightrope......but maybe they are fine.?
Not even sure what they sell.
P-30 B&W film in 35mm.
do they have some type of 120 also.?
And i guess they make a 16mm and 8mm movie film.?
I went to their website and clicked on ... "Shop" ... to see what all they have, and that page only says................
Welcome!
-Sorry! We are currently sold out. We will make an announcement when production resumes.

Seems like a God-Awful way to market your product on your own website
Maybe there are better parts of their site to look at inventory.?
