Hi all,
I unsuccessfully was trying to find the yellow filter for my Distagon 50 mm CF FLE (Hasselblad.) I came to conclusion that the more realistic solution will be B60 to 6* adapter. And here are my questions:
1. will this adapter/filter introduce vignetting,
2. will I be able to remove/attach hood with adapter/filter on,
3. what brand would you recommend?
I used to have B60 to 67mm filter adapter which is larger than B60 filter size. In my experience I have not had any vignetting using the 50mm lens. I was using generic metal filter adapter from eBay
I have experienced vignetting with my old 50mm C lens and a 67mm filter halfway screwed on (the lens doesn't have a bayonet mount, and the thread isn't exactly 67mm, but close). I've since obtained treadless filters that fit under the screw-on hood or adapter ring. The new lenses with a B60 adapter may be fine as long as the filter and adapter together aren't too thick. Get the thinnest adapter you can find that fits 67mm or larger filters.
Yes, you can use a 67mm filter with an adapter and yes you will probably not have vignetting from the filter, however you may have problems finding a suitable lens hood if you do not put forth a good effort to find a solution.
I had vignetting with 50mm CF FLE lens and B60 to 67mm Hoya adapter. Bought on Ebay B60 to 72 and 77mm adapters. Of course a few days later I found used B60 yellow filter for sale
