I just got some Hitech contrast filters.

Formatt-Hitech does not list them on their website. The Yellow Green (YG11) filter, B&H says 1 stop. Sekonic says 2 stop. Using the spot meter and meter some neutral carpet or green grass. Ie - meter without the filter and then with the filter.

Who's right?

The manufacturer, as quted by the retailer, is right.

You can't read exposure through a filter using a meter because you don't know its spectral response.

Use the value stated by B&H.

+1, or you can do some practical tests with film to work out your own filter factor.
