Availability of Harman Direct Positive paper?

Harman DP seems to be between available cycles... I hope? Either retailers don't list it or it is listed as discontinued, or in short supply in few sizes.

So, any idea if it is still viable, just waiting on a fresh batch to be produced, or is it dead? Or am I looking at the wrong retailers?

(Excuse the post if I missed similar recently, I swear I searched and looked closely for an existing post but didn't see anything recent).

It would appear that the paper is currently sold out with most retailers. Fotoimpex did have some 8x10 in stock the other day when I checked.

This seems to be a popular product and Ilford is still trying to keep up with the pent up demand. I expect supply will level out eventually.

BHPhoto says more will be available in a few days so I've been waiting for their re-supply.

It's interesting that B&H has the 8X10 listed as DISCONTINUED but all other sizes are listed as BACKORDERED and accepting orders.
I just ordered some 4X5 last week with fingers crossed

That's not 'interesting' - it's frightening! Well, with no real word about it actually being discontinued I'm very hopeful its just between batches. Or I picked a bad time to take an interest in this product. I figure B&H just has the 'discontinued' wrong.

Listed as out of stock at Harmanexpress too - pinhole seems to have become quite popular in the past while (particularly across the education segment) & lots of them seem to use the DPP. I suspect the batch has sold out a few weeks faster than predicted.

B&H's use of 'discontinued' can be inexplicable, confusing and may well simply happen automatically if stock is not replenished within a certain interval/ does not have a definite ETA.

I would guess that its production would require a relatively unusual setup for Harman, so it is probably scheduled relatively infrequently.

B&H now lists the 11x14 as in stock, everything else as "backordered" but a good sign. No 8x10 listed at all but I think that is quirk. Of course, it comes about 2 weeks after I would have liked to have had it in hand for a project.... Still, glad to see it lives, gave me a little scare.

I have a box of the 8X10 I bought three months ago, and I have used only 3 or 4 sheets. If anyone wants to buy it off me, I have no plans to use it....
