I recently tried to purchase HD 400 from a comapny called Howard Technology. They responded that they were out of stock, and they wouldn't be able to get any more from Kodak. I know that it's still being offered, but this makes me worried. I haven't used this film yet, and I don't want to lose my chance.
Was just talking about the strange availability pattern of this film yesterday. For no reasons that can be discerned, Kodak HD 400 is regular stock with CVS pharmacy shops, but... nowhere else, including the big mail order houses. If you have CVS stores in your region (I don't) that'd be the best place to look.
Yes...Check CVS....B&H had it but shows it as discontinued....They have done the same thing when they have run out of Tri-X before so I don't know what is going on....I have seen a sticker on it that says this film is for sale at CVS only, if it is found anywhere else please report it so it could be something that Kodak and CVS have agreed on...IDK.....It's a nice film though.
Thanks for the info. I know that CVS carries it, but it's so expensive. I'm not ready to accept that B&H has discontinued it. Maybe they'll get more, but it doesn't look good. I'll keep my eyes out for an official press release.
