A lot of the time the NY Times' Lens page of photography reminds me of what a dismal world it is for a lot of mankind. What a beautiful surprise today!

I love Autochrome too, I have a couple and will collect some more.
I have a blog about it here with some pictures of the relief image on the emulsion.
When you hold one in your hand it's surprisingly heavy and the images are just wonderful.
