Autochrome Dye Curves Emulation and Film Emulation , How to do many things ?

I found many websites in time on film emulation.

I need information on how above process works and coded and implemented on basic website..

Second question, we have a list of chemicals and we can buy small amounts cheap from alibaba. How, who , which can find these chemicals curves as above website use ? Or how can one find these curves , is there a database ?

Without confirmation, I will make the assumption that what you are looking at are LUTs (Look Up Tables) designed to mimic the look of a particular film stock or emulsion. However, you then speak of chemicals to be purchased...

Are you discussing working in the electronic/digital realm or the analog/photo chemical realm?

If you write to google ch 29 film emulation , it carries you to destiny. I thought film emulation would be done with curves but I think I was wrong. How look up table works and how someone create hundreds of color references or would it be easier ? If it would be easier , is it precise ? How one can make look up table for autochrome which might be legit for hundreds of different situations ? May be it would be possible with adjusting colors of CMY ? Is it ?

Working in Photoshop, you can do film emulation with curves, if you map the RGB curves independently, but it will take considerable effort.

Once you are satisfied with the look, you can generate a LUT (Look Up Table) from the image using this process:

Yes, I think this is it. I dont have photoshop and I cant spare money for it. Its very expensive for me and it works slow on my computer. You are talking about RGB Curves. Are there too many RGB Curves to adjust or do you mean only one R, G and B curve to make the LUT ? I downloaded the LUT Kodachrome but I cant use it.

How a website offers such a fast output from web page ? Is it adobe flash or java or what is it ? If I would make a website , I put above kodachrome lut and autochrome lut.

Last question , autochrome have 6 or 7 dyes which makes RRGGBBB or so. Each dot on film represent different RRGGBBB. How this can be solved in photoshop ?

And most importantly can I make above everything and use the kodachrome LUT at free GIMP software ?

Mustafa, I haven't looked around Open Source Software lately (GIMP is Open Source and Free), but I'll bet if you dig around in Sourceforge (https://sourceforge.net/) for a while, you could probably find a way to use these resources independent of Photoshop.

There are a TON of videos on Youtube dealing with converting LUTs between various formats AND covering many open source LUT creators and converters. Start here:
It's not going to be easy, but it should be possible to use LUTs in GIMP if you find the right way to convert them to a format GIMP can understand.
