f/1.8. Came with a lot of cameras. It says Bell&Howell on top of the prism. Half of the lens comes unscrewed at the front. Anybody knows about this camera?

You know, I just looked at the Canon Museum page again, and I think it really sounds like the EXEE rather than the EX Auto. The EE description mentions that the rear element of the lens is permanently attached to the body and that front elements were available in a few different focal lengths. Kind of interesting, really. Perhaps the EX Auto uses the same lenses, it is not clear from the description. Here is the EXEE entry: http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/...69_exee.html?lang=us&categ=crn&page=1966-1975

Yes this is a Canon. In the "Canon Compendium," the author, Bob Shell, guesses that the camera was originally designed to be a leaf-shutter 35mm SLR. When Canon had engineering problems, they dropped the leaf-shutter and went with a focal plane shutter. Makes sense when you consider the awkward interchangeable lens system used on the camera. There were four lenses available. A 35mm, 50mm, 95mm and 125mm. BTW, there are a few EX-EE lenses up on eBay right now.
