Does anyone know anything about Autex shutters? A Wolly 13" f/6.8 Velostigmat is mounted in it, but I have never heard of an Autex before. Speeds 1 - 1/100 with B and T.
I have had a couple of Turner Reich lenses mounted in Autex shutters. If clean, they were pretty reliable. I nvever had to open one up, so I can't tell you much more.
Jim
it looks like it works like a betax - you will have inbetween shutter speeds
like you do fstops ( like intermediate speeds between 50 + 100 and so on).
Jeremy, looks to be a close cousin to the Wollensak Regno, that came on the 8x10. Remind me next time we get together, these look very similar....and like John said like the betax shutter (I think there is also an acme shutter with the same function/look).
Thanks guys--I had looked at Seth's website, but must have just missed that page. Already talked to Carol Flutot and she is going to give a shot at giving it a CLA.
Jeremy - FWIW, Carol does a great job on the old pneumatic shutters. She did a Century for me last year that I thought was a basket case and it now works great. She has a Unicum of mine in her shop as we speak...
